I need your opinion

Featured Replies

Just notice something really strange with the car I never had this with this or any other car but this is my first ever car with DSG and turbo. When driving on hot or cold engine I don't see any different to normal , there is no massages on dash, car is going nice and smooth, but when sitting in the traffic ( doesn't matter if on "D" or "S") , when trying to move there is like 2 / 3 sec delay then the car is moving off very quickly I never had this before and I have completely no idea what it can be. This is not happening always sometimes the car is moving as normal. Few months before I had mechatronic replaced on my DSG and I was absolutely happy with it.

I'm really counting on your opinion as the car is still under warranty so I may send it back to dealer.

Thanks in advance .

So when sat still in traffic with the car in 'D' or 'S' and you take your foot off the foot brake...

1) Does the car begin to creep forward (without pressing the accelerator)?

2) Or is this when you experience the 2-3 second delay before the car moves?

Or are you pressing the accelerator straight after releasing the foot brake, the car revs as if in neutral then after 2-3 seconds the car sets off, and with the increased revs this is causing the car to lurch forward as the DSG box wakes up?

Thanks Silver for your answer. I'm taking the car out now so will update here as soon as I will be back. So far what i found it could be a brake light switch/sensor , it sending wrong info to DSG and car is thinking that the brakes are on. I hope this is only this.

Hill start assist issue, or not applicable to automatic transmission?

Thanks Silver for your answer.

Read Silver's post again bud. There are no answers in there, but there are three questions. .

If you try to answer them he, or someone else, may be able to help you out, and answer your query.

Thanks mate I konw I ain't got answer yet I was just pleased that Silver got interested in my problem

To answer his questions I will need to feel this strange think again but since last time I haven't had this delay again so I'm not sure what exactly it was. I think i was sitting in the traffic (not sure about creeping forward) then I took my foot of the brake and pressed accelerator and the car hasn't moved straight away (2-3 sec delay) again I'm not sure about revs and creeping but I will defo update as soon as I will find out.

Thanks,
