i have the standard swing radio, and aftermarket reversing sensors fitted by a skoda official dealer.

There are a few issues i have with the radio and want to know if they are legit or as expected:
 

1. When reversing the radio does not turn down and the little graphic showing the rear of the car doesnt show.

2. I cant change songs playing through my android phone using steering wheel controls.

 

Is this as expected or should i bring this in to the garage again?

There's nothing wrong with your radio - this is all normal behaviour.

1. If you have aftermarket sensors, the radio will not lower its volume when reversing. You also won't et the visual radar display. Both of those features are only available with reversing sensors fitted on the production line or a full retrofit of the production line kit. You only have a basic beep-only aftermarket kit.

2. Swing radio does not support track controls via the steering wheel over Bluetooth. It's the same whether you have a Android or iOS phone. The Swing is a primitive head unit and restricts what can be done via Bluetooth.

Best advice is to dump it and fit an Amundsen sat nav head unit instead if you want full Bluetooth control and track info.
