Did Santa bring you something?

 

I got a full outdoor car cover and a low entry Hydraulic Jack for the 5

 

I got quite a bit of detailing kit, Mist and Purity X, KKD Blizzard, clay cloth and some platinum wheels which I plan to use in the new year.

I didn't get any detailing stuff from swmbo

Sadly nothing.

Apart from the other half opening the door on a concrete post!

Not the sort of mod I wanted :(

I got from Maplins a power pack unit to jump start up to 4 litre diesel , got 25 per cent of price. .Peter

Lots and lots although no detailing products I probably have enough to last me a couple of years to be honest.

All the car stuff I have got recently has been stuff I've bought. So apart from a new front end my car has got a second hand set of front calipers for me to paint and have swapped over, a new set of car mats that match the old ones (rubber ones because of the wet muddy crap they stop, old drivers one had a hole in it) so the new set of copys makes essentially 2 replacement mats. Also a new trolley jack because the bottle jack was too tall for the Monte and I cba finding the jack in the garage every time I need it. A set of those interlocking foam tiles to sit on when doing underneath things. A pair of Osram Nightbreaker bulbs that I decided not to fit because I can't get my hands in there well enough. I got the impact wrench on the 4th and socket not long after. And it got valeted when it was at the body-shop.

 

And here I was thinking I'd done nothing all month and mysteriously ran out of money

 

I now just need to paint the new calipers, take the car in to get those and fluid changed, have them fit the bulbs, and have them remove the rear break drums (I tried this but they were absolutely jammed on) and put them back again so I can remove later, then I can remove them at home and paint them. I have to get the splitter off the old bumper and decide whether to sell it or keep it as a spare, then I have a front pressed plate to fit as well. Oh, and finish re-spraying the VRS wheels. Or is that start re-spraying them?

And I need another bottle of Megs Gold. And some windscreen treatment.

My wife bought me what appears to be the entire Rapid Accessories catalogue :

 

Mud flaps front and rear;

Rubber mats front and rear;

Rear tunnel rubber mat;

Stainless sill protectors;

Rubber boot mat;

MDI cable;

Warning triangle for the compartment in the boot;

oh and some bonnet lifting struts too
