Yeti Monte Carlo seat issue

Featured Replies

I have a Yeti Monte Carlo that is now twelve months old, which at nine months started showing lines in the front outside corner of the drivers seat squab. A month later the same appearance started on the same area of the front passenger seat.

You will know the Monte Carlo has distinctive and different seating to the other models and as far as I know, not replicated in any other vehicles in the Skoda range. This has made it diffficult to get broader view on whether this issue is appearing elsewhere.

The effect in the seat material can be likened to a thread being pulled out of a piece of cloth leaving a dery distinctive line. Not as severe and certainly no missing threads, but appears like this in several lines.

Unfortunately at the moment, Skoda warranty do not see this as a problem although they are only viewing the isssue from photographs. It will be extremely helpful if there are other Monte Carlo owners or those familiar with this type of material that can give me view on their seat status.

David, not having a Monte Carlo model myself, but post up a picture so comments can be given. Might help.

Thank you for the suggestion Carlo, however, having tried to find a way to attach a photo for an hour I am no further forward. Clearly, having not used 'photobucket' I am unable to get an appropriate link.

Perhaps someone can provide an 'idiots' guide.

When posting look at the bottom right...More Reply Options.

You can then browse your picture files to select and add photographs.

Even the leather seats don't take long to show signs of use.

I'm sorry, I must be doing something completely wrong. Clicking 'More Reply Options' brigs up the 'Reply to this post' box and I cannot see a browse icon/word anywhere.

Oh dear, how embarrassing; at the bottom of the text box I am now writing in there are three options:- 'Add Reply', 'Preview Post' or 'Cancel'.

To the right of this text box are 'Post Options':- Enable emoticons, Enablr signature, Follow this topic.

The menu area at the top of the text box has icons referring to 'Image' but this requires a URL.

I cannot find a reference to 'Attach Files'.

I wonder if there is a difference between web browsers, I am using Firefox

Thank you DonjSZ5 for your patience.

It appears that IE shows the 'Attach Files' option you pointed out but for some reason Firefox does not.

Photo finally attached.

Being dark outside and insufficient light in my garage I have used flash. This seems to have less contrast and perhaps the 'lines' I described do not show as well as in daylight. Hopefully it is sufficient to illustrate the issue.

Our Yeti's fabric seat showed considerable wear in the region of where a RH back pocket wallet would be - all fluffed up and looking a bit threadbare.
