Dim dash lights

Featured Replies

My left indicator and speed regulating system dash lights are occasionally lighting up together. They're not at full brightness, you can just about make them out. They're on the whole time the ignition is on. They could do it for a few days and then they'll be off again.

Sorry, actually they're only on when the headlights are on

Have you heard what causes the fault? I haven't seen much detail in the other threads. I work with electronics and I'd be confident changing parts. Diagnosing the problem may be difficult though. Also if it's not repairible, can I just fit a new one straight in?

Only going on what I've read on here over the years but dry solder joints came up quite a few times.

Most people had their clusters removed and sent away to a specialist for repair.

I'm guessing here but I suspect that it's moisture because I left a dehumidifier in the car over night and the lights haven't come on for a couple of days since that.
