Vrs pd light throttle misfire fixed for £2 in 10mins

Featured Replies

when i bought my pd vrs it seemed to have a light throttle misfire but only when crawling in traffic on a warm day if pulling away with a heavy throttle it was fine and if the weather was cold it was fine,

so after some searching on vw forum,s i came across an egr reducer gasket from vw for the pd170

so i went to my local vw dealer and gave the parts guy the part no i had and they had it in stock i asked why they list two different egr gaskets (i already knew they have different size holes) he said the smaller holed one was a revised part ,

so i fitted the smaller holed egr gasket in 10mins to my pd 170 vrs a few  months ago and so far so good no misfire at all .

the standard gasket has a 30mm hole the revised gasket has a 10mm hole this mod is well worth it for £2 they are on ebay non genuine and genuine hope this helps someone.
