Hi can anyone tell me where the engine support s r on these BXE engine's please for the crossbar that goes across the top of the engine as for taking gearbox out cheers Graeme

All a need to no is when a put the beam across the engine how do a fix the chains to the engine to suspend it when a remove the gear box mounting thanks

Be careful when using the cross car supports. Don't put them on the wings. The proper equipment goes across the strut tops where it is strong enough. The hook is on the front of the engine by the tandem fuel pump. I normally use an exhaust clamp through the eyelet to hold it on.

Thanks what correct support that fits on the strut tops for strength never seen them before but at least a no were the hook on engine is now.

It's basically a T shaped bar. You take the scuttle trim off and it locates in the strut tops and then has another bar that comes forward to the front panel. The wings aren't strong enough to support the engine and will buckle.

Two 4 by 4 poles arranged in a tee as the genuine tool should do the trick.
