Has anyone got the part number for just the knob (not the whole unit)? I must have knocked it off and can't find it anywhere and I can not adjust the mirror or turn off the heaters (without a pliers) at the moment.

Also I hope it doesn't cost a fortune for such a small thing.

You can't buy just the knob, you need the whole assembly but it isn't too expensive.

Just make sure you have the heated mirrors as this knob has the extra position.

 

I'm sure all but the very basic MkII Octavia's got the heated mirrors so assuming you have the vRS you should be good!

I've got one you can have for free if you cover the postage.

Just for completeness, I have a 1Z2959565E which came off a FL where as 1Z2959565A looks like is for the pre-FL although I've no idea if there is any actual functional difference.

 

Looking at DIESELind's profile picture the FL part should be correct and it'll be in the post soon

Weirdly I too had to source a replacement unit has my adjustment switch had mysteriously vanished never to be seen again
