Under seat storage box

Featured Replies

Will a mk2 Octavia storage box fit a mk2 Fabia seat?

Also if it does, is there a new how to guide, The one I found on here seems to be old and all the pictures are broken.

Thanks

Why not use the one for the MK2 Fabia/Roomster?

Where can one source these boxes (for a Mk.2 VRS)?

How much do they cost?

How easy are they to retrofit?

I would suggest the main dealer as I have seen sellers asking more then the retail price, sometimes as much for one as a dealer sells two for! They die use to cost about £7 each, may be a little more expensive now due to inflation and interest!

Very easy to fit in theory.. Bit tricky to fit with seat in situ though so removal of seat makes it simpler. I have back issues so I did this, taking the seat fully out the car. That said, others have fit them with seats just unbolted and tilted back.

It might be quite tricky to fit without even unbolting the seat as access is the key issue.

One thing to bear in mind, the seat bolts themselves have an unusual bolt head. Not a torx but a similar fitment, the name and size eludes me at the moment. Again, not expensive to find but not worth shunting the wrong fitment into the head as you will most likely just ruin the bolt and the tool in the process.

I have made it sound worse then it is and I assure you I would do it again if I had another Fabia without these cubby hole boxes. Although they are fairly small inside, they have been a great asset, along with the addition of a sunglass holder in the roof lining.

As Mrgf has alluded to, you'll need to unbolt the seats. A spline socket is needed.

Yes, they can be retrofitted to both drivers side and passenger seats.

Search Briskoda Parts, here on the forum, and send them an email for a special Briskoda price, typically 10% off RRP

Hope this helps!

Thats the kiddie! Vag group tend to use them extensively throughout their range, in assorted sizes.
