Driver's seat storage drawer / Mud Flaps

Featured Replies

Has anyone fitted the underseat drawer to the driver's seat on a facelift Yeti? I know there's a "how do I do that" article for a pre-F/L but is the seat still the same and is there still enough space for the drawer to clear the Bluetooth module?

How about front mudflaps? Are the fronts still the same as the Pre-F/L cars? The wheelarch liner seems to have a small lip at the bottom of the A pillar on F/L cars, and I don't recall seeing it there on my pre-F/L Yeti.

Although my new car won't arrive till early April, Superskoda's 20% off everything deal this weekend makes their prices too good to miss on these items - and other stuff too.

The rear mudflaps are definitely different on the Outdoor model because they changed the bumper.

The under seat draw should fit as the seats are the same but there is a gadget to store a HiViz vest on F/Lift models, I think this would have to be taken off to fit the draw. Some body has posted they've done it.

I think I'm right in saying the driver's under seat storage tray won't fit if you have an electric seat.... But I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong!

I fitted the storage box on the f/l non electric and it is bit of a struggle but doable with the seat in situ as the holder for the high viz appeared a bit naff.it can be done a lot easier if the seat is unbolted and tilted apparently .i also fitted them on the Octavia and that was a real struggle with the seats in situ I think I had to carry out a little bodge if I remember.

I'm sure you meant "creative engineering" instead of  "little bodge".

I took my seats out - even then it was a struggle to fit the storage tray and I still only have two of the three bolts in place...

I have spare rubber stops and gliders if anyone want them.

I fitted front mud guards in minutes, no drilling required and uses existing screws. No need to remove wheels either. However, not certain if the mud guard is exactly the same as pre facelift.

I have to say, for the small volume, fitting an under seat storage drawer is hardly worth the effort or cost. I struggle to find anything I want to put in it that will actually fit!

Picking my Yeti up this morning. The 1st thing I am going to do is order the under seat draw online. I always use mine for the sat nav and the onboard camera

Pre & Post facelift seats are the same. Except for the hi-viz vest holder on the post-FL version which is very easy to remove.

I had heard of everyone complaining what a faff it was to fit the drawer but I am unsure why as I found it a doddle.

Unbolt the seat and rock it back onto the rear seats so you can access the underside uninhibited - and it's a 15 min job start to finish.

I searched around and found a flat plastic lidded  "tupperware" style container that fits a treat on the carpet. I have used the eye part of two strips of velcro and it sits on the carpet out of the way. It has not moved in the 18 months it has been there.

Getting the tabs on the back of the drawer frame into the slots on the underside of the seat took ages.

Then discovered the speed nuts for the bolts weren't in place so had to go back to the dealer to buy those. Then those were so tight to fit and didn't line up with the holes on the frame, so I bent one getting it in.

Good idea, but you cant do that if you have a bluetooth fitted car; that piece of carpet is full of the interface module "stuff".

Ordered the RHS underseat drawer, front flaps rear seat LED lights and a thing called a "rubber mat over tunnel", all from Superkoda during their 20% off weekend. All except the rear seat LED lights are genuine Skoda. The drawer comes with its carrier & fastenings as a set of parts.

Can't fit the drawer, flaps or lights until Yeti No 2 arrives in 12 weeks or so, but the "rubber mat over tunnel" (part No 5L0061580) is in use already in Yeti No 1 and is a nifty shaped piece of flexible rubber that sits on the transmission tunnel in the rear seat floor area, and protects the top & sides of the exposed carpet from muddy feet. Best used with genuine Skoda rubber mats and cost only £4.25. A bargain !

(Photo is very compressed widthways & makes it look smaller than it really is - sorry. If you can open it by clicking, normal proportions should resume)

Now all I need is Yeti No 2 to fit the other items!
