Was wondering if any Octavia 2 owners have made the cubby box on the top of the dash into a phone holder and if so how did you do it. I pop the phone vertically and it's fine because of the little lip, but if i accelerate quickly or hard in on a corner the phone goes flying. Any photos or thoughts will be great. Ta.

Had one in the Leon before and now the Scud. Never failed me.

Hmmmm. Thought about that but the magnet on my phone will mess up the internal compass. [emoji31]

Like the look of the CD Slotmount. Anyone used it with a Bolero? Concerned as it says not compatible with multi-disc units.

I use it on my Bolero with a Samsung Galaxy S5 in a chunky case. The only downsides are; the charging cable trailing down (I have a Scout so feed the cable through the dash mounted passenger grab handle), and depending on the position you place your phone, it can slightly obscure the screen (radio station /PDC), but with trial and error, I now have it at a 'set and forget' position I'm happy with.

Thanks. I contacted them as they say it won't work with in-dash CD changers; they say it's not compatible with the XC90 (wife/dogs/children) but didn't mention Bolero. I may give it a go as I hardly use the CD player anyway.

Google Mountek and Radmo.

Since recently downloading Sygic satnav onto my Samsung Galaxy S5 I was thinking of buying either of the above until I remembered I had the CD Slot Mount kicking around, I only stopped using it after I bought a tomtom.

Reviews for the Radmo state build quality is a bit and miss.

I'm sure Mountek have a mount that you can prise into joins in the dash. Regardless, they also have an air Vent mount that appears to be stable.

If interested in Mountek, buy direct from the States (approx £27) Amazon have prices starting at £100!

Are Brodit holders a bit old school now?

I've used these on my last few cars and they are good.

Perhaps a little expensive, but well thought out.

I see Mountek are based just outside San Francisco. I might touch base with them as I'm there in 10 days time with work. Would a group buy be of interest? They list at $19.95 for the ngroove model (approx £35 on Amazon UK).
