Question about doorlock - signal problem

Featured Replies

Hi to all,

Got problem with passanger door on right side at the back. When I open door lights inside my Octavia II fl wont turn on and there is no information on display that door is opened ( there is no signal into module ). Could it be micro switch inside doorlock? Rest of them works well, see information about opened doors, lights turn on just works perfect. What to do? What to do? :)

What you guess may be the problem does make sense, although it could be something else.

Have you tried some cleaner spray on the controlling switch? Is it likely to be stuck or possibly frozen???

Does the door lock?

Yes it does, works perfect.

The fact it locks and unlocks at least confirms that there is power to the door.

Another vote here for an issue inside the door mechanism, like you say it could be the microswitch but I'd be trying a squirt of contact cleaner first to see if this helps...
