Compatible oils?

Featured Replies

I've just recently changed the oil in my skoda fabia 1.9tdi PD engine using Motul 5w40 505.01 spec oil but have just noticed on my garage shelf I have two 1litre bottles of motul 5w40 LL-04.

Now both are Obviously motul 5w40 and both state they are ACEA C3 ( not sure what that means tbh) on the front of the bottles, but can they be mixed?? The bottles don't have a lot of detail on them about spec and I don't want to cause possible damage to my PD engine using the LL-04.

I was using a cheap triple qx brand oil but covering a quick 8k motorway miles on it i decided today to drop it out and replace it, garage seemed a nicer place to be anyway than the house being screamed down by the kids lol.

Thoughts on compatibility guys?
