2011 SEAT Ibiza Ecomotive S 1.2TDi **£0 Road Tax**

Featured Replies

Due to the impending arrival (hopefully end Jan/beginning Feb) of my Superb, I'm now selling my current car.

It is a June 2011 11 plate SEAT Ibiza 1.2TDi Ecomotive S, 3 door coupe bodystyle in black magic metallic, presently on 54,000 miles, likely to be 55,000 by the end of the month.  I've owned this since April 2012 and bought it from the dealer as an ex-Demonstrator.

Has full SEAT service (it's on long life servicing), aside from having the front brakes/disks replaced December 2015 (about 2,000 miles ago).  Dealer kept screwing up the counter reset though, so it's on interval timings but I've confirmed with the dealer that it had a full long-life service both times.  It's almost due for another service (around 56,000), dealer fixed price is either £150 or £260 (not sure if it is a major or minor quote).

Car has engine start/stop with the regenerative braking, so on my current 115 mile round trip commute on A roads I'm seeing an average of 60mpg.  Previously on a far shorter commute and some town driving was seeing around 55mpg.

Other things (not necessarily exhaustive list): space saver spare type, central locking, electric windows, air-conditioning, Radio/CD player with MP3 playback and AUX input, height adjustable front seats.

Only negatives are a slight scratch on the rear bumper by the boot where something scratched it as it went in the boot, and the edge of one of the hubcaps (yes it has steel wheels) is chipped but you'd have to know where to look to see it.

Been very happy with the car but the continual long commutes aren't really suited for this size of car and the size of driver (I'm 6'3").

Car is located just south of Norwich, looking to sell as soon as Superb arrives as I have a loan to pay off (no Finance on the car, a personal loan) and the company car allowance payments I've been getting for this will stop once the replacement is here!

Looking for £5,000 o.n.o.

If I've missed anything or more information is needed please shout.  Car is a great little run about and good for someone wanting something looking nice but not costing them too much, and has a decent sized boot.  As it's only a 1.2TDi it is no boy racer (70 PS Engine I believe), so could be good on insurance.  Rear seats not good for tall passengers!

Photos below - hope the quality OK as had to shrink to get uploaded!

Right, bit of an update and price revision.

Servicing

Have now had the car serviced (last Wednesday) which was its third longlife service.  Now won't need another service for 2 years or 19,000 miles, whichever comes first.  And I made sure the dealer reset the counter properly (different dealer used).

However, the dealer advised that the cambelt and water pump will be due at 60,000 or June 2016 (slightly confused as I thought it had a chain, but apparently that was the older cars).  Given that is now about 4,500 miles away (or 5 months), I'm discounting the cost of the dealer price for the work, which is £500.00 (one of their fixed price items).  Also I believe the brake fluid is due at 5 years (also June 2016), so knocking off some for that too.

Revised price therefore £4,400.00 ono

Emissions

I'll deal with the elephant in the room - yes the car has an EA189 derived engine so is a naughty emissions cheat.  I've had letters from SEAT confirming this, and that the free recall will be in the new year, ie this year. I understand from reading elsewhere for this engine it's just a software reprogramming, not anything mechanical.

Go on - make me an offer!!
