pcv removal?

Featured Replies

Just a quick query regarding removing the valve altogether and fitting a blank off kit. It's for my Leon but with the 2.0 tfsi. Has anyone done it? Having read a few threads about failures of the valve itself plus this engine being prone to carbon build up on the inlet valves is it a good idea?

I fitted the Creation Motorsports partial delete kit which deletes the front pcv which is the one which usually fails, but leaves the rear in place.

Can't say I've noticed any difference, but having suffered from a gunked up inlet due in part to a failed PCV,and the subsequent cost to fix it, I did it for my own peace of mind.

As above same kit I have

Just means it won't break hahah

Have you got a link to that kit. I cant seem to find it?

I got mine from their eBay shop item number 252119697471.

Lots of manufacturers make them but prices vary from £60 up to about £120, but are all very similar in appearance and function.

I got the CM kit as it was the cheapest and couldn't see any benefit in the more expensive ones.

Thanks for the replies. Those kits are the ones I've been looking at just the partial delete without a catch can. Are the BSH kits exactly the same?

Yes that's the right part.

The BSH kit is identical to the CM kit.

Cheers buddy I'll order one soon and report back. So, am i correct in thinking this will stop the inlet valves coking up?

It should prevent a lot of it yes.

So, have you had the plate fitted long enough to pass an m.o.t ? Just wondered if it affects emissions.

I havnt had a test since fitting, but it won't cause any problems for the MOT.

I had mine moted since fitted this and it didn't change a thing
