EDT Service/Remapping for 2003 Fabia Classic?

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

Decided to push through the MOT with my 1.2 Fabia Classic rather than get rid. Wondering if EDT service is worth the extra 30 quid, or if will cause more problems than it's worth (I've used that 'car lube' stuff occassionally over the last 18 months, not in a dirty way...

Also looking at possibly remapping over the summer months, but again wondering if it's worth it on a 1.2 Classic? Extra HP would be nice, and of course the extra mpg. Thinking about getting wider tyres/wheels also, as feels a little top heavy going round corners...

Not really a petrol head as you might have guessed, just thinking out loud - any feedback/tips much appreciated...

Cheers,

Mark

EDT service not worth it unless you're a high mileage user. Forget remapping as well and wider tyres will only reduce MPG.

All in all, keep the car well maintained and bog standard then sell it and get a 1.4 16V or a PD for more power when you're ready.
