Going to upgrade to DAB but I've got the lupo cup holders so options are:

1. Keep oem look and get a hidden DAB box

2. Single din replacement with top blanking panel

Re Aerial. Thought of using a DAB FM splitter. These only work with non amplified aerials. The MK1 gets its amplification from the head unit right? So the aerial is passive I'm guessing. I know if I keep the Symphony unit and get a box I'll have to invest in a new aerial but with a new single din I can use a splitter right?

Any techies out there with thoughts/ideas?

Well it seems I was wrong. A splitter won't work I've been told.

What's the consensus regarding keeping OEM look with DAB box or a single din?
