Hi can any one tell me if my car is pre wired for the fitting of front fog lights if not what kind of job is it for a garage to do also can any one confirm the correct oil for the 5speed gearbox just got the car all seems fine at the moment great site

It will almost certainly not have the wiring for front fogs.

If they are not factory specced, the wiring will not be there. You will need the light units, looms, new switch and coding of the central electronics module to get them to work.

It isn't too big of a job if your garage has knowledge of VAG cars.

 

The front fog lights themselves are dead easy to fit, pill out the black plastic blanking plates and fit in the fogs.

 

You will need a new headlight switch (with the setting for front fogs) but these are readily available and cheap enough.

 

A good auto-electrician will wire the in for you, then you need someone with VCDS to code them in (again, most VAG specialists have the necessary software).
