Few Questions About Adding More Power!

Featured Replies

Hey guys I have a few questions about adding more power to my VRS, currently the only mods are K&N panel filter, egr delete, mufflerectomy and PD150 turbo and has been mapped to 195bhp and 330 ib ft. I am quite happy with this setup but was wondering at what bhp output would I need to upgrade to PD150 head bolts? I plan on getting a darkside front mount intercooler, full stainless decat with bigger bore exhaust system and a cone filter just for the noise really haha and eventually an ugraded clutch and flywheel. Second question being if I add an intercooler, cone filter and full new decat exhaust system (currently has cat) will I need to get it mapped again? It already has a custom map but would be nice if i didnt have spend close to £300 again. As always Cheers.

Custom maps come much cheaper than that, and better I would think!speak to Faboka on here ;)

PD150 head bolts are a good thing to do whatever once you start upping the boost.

You won't get much more power out of your current turbo, unless it's a fancy hybrid?

If you stick with your current turbo and add the cooler etc you won't really need a remap,as the cooler will just make your current set up more efficient.

Ok thanks the main reason for the cooler was to make it more efficient especially in summer, im thinking of a hybrid turbo now lol
