Hi guys any advice on this would be very much appreciated. I recently bought a Jetex exhaust system and I had it fitted aswell as a Decat + downpipe and now fitted it is siting a lot lower than I was hoping and it doesn't look the best. It seems as though it may be a DIY job although I am unsure on how to pull it off. Another problem is the exhaust hanger, it does not hold the backbox in place and moves side to side after a journey (I tried cable ties for a temporary fix but they didn't hold for 5 minutes). As I said any help or advice if anyone else has encountered this would be greatly appreciated, The forum will not allow me to put pictures in the post but I will post the links to picture references I uploaded to photobucket underneath to better understand my problem.

Mine did this after getting my Piper fitted. You need some new rubber hangers from Skoda, they don`t cost too much, and fixes it a treat

Great thanks i'll look and try to find some.

My first thought was of new hangars as well. You can probably get them (and a lift to fit them on) from a quiet branch of a national chain, for the price of the parts and a couple of quid in their coffee swindle.

I've ordered new rubber hangers and also the bracket which they fit on to, hopefully will do the job and when it arrives I will fit it on and see the result. 

If it raises it but not enough, get a couple of metal cable ties round the chassis mount and round the rubber mount. to raise it a bit more.

 

My piper hung low.

new hanger is £8 from a dealer, however that jetex system is for the 150 1.8t not the vrs with the bumper cutout. hence why it sits lower. (some sites sell it as the vrs one but its not) I had it on my old vrs. I bought it knowing that would be the case. I had the pipe cut and repositioned by an exhaust specialist. I wanted the twin pipe look, Wasnt fussed on the ovals available
