Pi shortend shocks and lowering springs £275 are they worth a go ?

Featured Replies

So my suspension is original from 07 and pita i was going to get Ap coilovers but due to two kids needing new school shoes and trainers funds wont allow it , i have been looking at all options and dont want cheap coilovers with a pants ride, so i have been thinking about shock and spring kits the only problem is most only lower the vrs 20mm ,i had a witec shock and spring kit on one of my old vrs,s and it hardly looked any lower when fitted and was never quite happy with the look,

so my options are  PI shocks and PI -30mm springs or bilstien B4 shocks and PI springs not sure what to do has anyone had experiance with the PI stuff .

I had  PI  springs with koni FSD dampers , great combination

I was considering Bilsteins B4s with eibach springs

I was considering Bilsteins B4s with eibach springs

The only problem for me is the eibach pro kit springs only lower the vrs 10-15 mm i want to close the gaps on the arches sensibly, my suspension is already sagging so i dont think it would look any lower with the eibachs fitted due to worn out suspension,i think i am going to save a bit more money and get AP coilovers so i can set it just as i want , i bought a witec shock and spring kit on my first mk1 vrs it just looked standard i was gutted with the look and cost me £350 for the pleasure .

I'm trying to lowering it without making the ride hard .
