Broken rear xenon level arm

Featured Replies

The car was in for its 92k service today at my favourite Indy and they found the rear xenon level arm snapped under the upper ball end :@

I've had a look to see if I could jerry rig something up but can't get decent access from the side, even with a jack. Looks like a lift is going to make it easier.

Garage has quoted £67 for the sensor (can't buy the arm separately!) And 0.6hrs to replace. Best book it in in the morning.

I've set the lever to a mid point do not to blind people.

That's what I thought to but it looked like it failed in a 'normal' position and hadn't moved. I moved the arm manually and could seem them moving about.

I did have to stop to move it back into place as it had gone low from my messing about!

Can't really wait for a second hand one or from Europe as doing a lot of night driving at the moment.
