Hi Guys,

 

I have a 04 Fabia VRs and on the last MOT an advisory for the rear brakes was given, and in the last month I replaced the discs and the pads. At the same time, the handbrake was non existent so when I done this, I adjusted the handbrake and it seemed to work....for about 2 weeks! The handbrake lever is still quite stiff and only clicks 4-5 times, but the handbrake doesnt actually work still. Any ideas?

the levers on the calipers MUST be on the stops before you decide to adjust the cable or the self adjustment inside doesn't have enough travel to opperate

sounds like the internal screw part of the caliper used for the handbrake has siezed.
