2.0 T FSI 200 Cel cat, downpipe

Featured Replies

Hey

Ive just fitted a new rear box onto the standard system (ultersports) on my FL Tfsi.

Im thinking about adding a 200 cell, and downpipe, or maybe even a decat (with flanges to swap it easy come test time)

Whats around, ive used Toyosports in the past and found them to be good quality, they dont list a specific one for the skoda, but list one for Audi, Cupra R, will this one fit?? i presume the flanges are the same, its only after the Cat they differ due to body's arcoss the group.

Anybody got any links to anything? ive seen some on Ebay but none specifically say for the skoda.

and none tend to list anything post 2006, but i presume nothings changed, and both K03, and 4 turbos are same flange etc?

any help would be great

Vin

What other mods are you running as without a remap stage 1 or 2 I am sure no cat will pop the eml on...

Its booked in for stage 1, hense want to get it on before hand

If your messing with the cat then I am sure a stage 2 might be better

From what I can tell the best cat/system would be a miltec but not cheap at £500 but you get what you pay for i guess...

Would have said if your replacing the cat with a sports one then a full system change would be better then a cat and back box set up..

Im happy with my back box as the sound is good, and there is zero drone, you can drive around normal, and it sounds stock.

Im not paying that kind of money for something i can get thats equal quality for a lot less.

Ive managed to find one for £200.

Ive had a miltek system before, and it cracked, and that was a £800 system.

Try mk5 golf gti this could be be the same part for down pipe and cat,the system is defo different, i dont know for sure but the cheap golf ones on ebay look the same as the octavia miltek one try giving demon tweeks a call and ask if the golf and octavia miltek parts are the same, then get a cheap toyo style one

Yep thats what ive done, ive got a pic of the standard cat and downpipe from an octo, and MK5 golf, and they are the same.

Ive orderd a 200 cell, and downpipe.

It should fit, i will worry about the centre section one ive test fitted everything, i can get a centre pipe made.

Thats a huge saving for a toyo style sport cat over miltek and are pretty much the same thing as you said miltek have had there problems with welds cracking etc .

I'm interested in this myself. The standard cat back is fine in terms of flow apparently. The restriction comes from the dp and cats. I had a jetex cat back fitted last night can feel no difference in power at all. Not much difference in sound from inside either - outside there's a bit more bark tho. I've looked at the turbo revs dp and wondered about having flanged cat and decat sections made up to swap easy come mot/track time. Works out one hell of a lot cheaper. Will be following this post for sure.

just get the turbo revs 200cel sports cat fit and forget , the down pipes always seem to be the main restriction the mk1 vrs was the same very restrictive down pipe, maybe it was intentional to cut power and emmisions back .
