New Octavia Owner

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I purchased yesterday a 2008 1.9TDI ambiente - 84k miles. Seems to be a very good car, no squeaks, no clunks or bangs, no weird noises and services every 10k according to the log.

Is there anything I should look out for or anything I should double check on the car now I have it? (I know the cambelt has been done recently). I've had a good look round the car and suspension seems ok, checked no clicking or clunking or weird stuff from the driveshaft on either lock etc..

Thanks all,

Robin

Hi there and welcome to skoda ownership, when i get a new car i just keep an eye on all the fluid levels and tyre pressure just to be on the safe side, the duel mass fly wheel can be an issue it will vibrate when letting up the clutch, also sticky brake calipers i always service my own brakes by stripping and greasing the sliders and checking the pistons and rubber boots, your car sounds like its in good order with fsh and a recent cambelt change so hopfully many miles of problem free ownership,
