2016 Audi A4 on PCH

Featured Replies

I've been trying to persuade a mate of mine at work into a PCH or PCP for a while now. His 2005 VW Toureg is getting to the point where it is going to start costing some money.

As a result we've been searching the web for a month or so now. Some cracking deals on the Octavia Scout, Yeti and VW Tiguan.

He snapped this up today, almost unbelievable!

Audi A4 1.4 TFSi Sport Saloon.

PCH, 10,000 miles/annum, 9+23, so £1,274 down and then 23 months at £141 plus a £360 processing fee.

This equates to £203 per month!

I'm amazed at how well specced the A4 is now, even the base spec gets sat nav and xenon's etc.

A lot of car for really not a lot of money...

It will be interesting to know what actual MPG he gets with it, 1,395kg Kerb Weight and just 150ps,

At around £23,000 for cash they are a lot of car for the money, just a bit heavy still for the engine if you are using it with 4 adults in it.

If its the same engine I have in the Leon (1250KG or so) shouldn'd be much worse than 48mpg once run in as it cuts to 2 cylinders while cruising (a friend has it in a Passat and he is getting 47 mpg) and im getting 52 MPG 1 up on journeys to work(uphill) 55MPG on the way home (Downhill)

This 150 ps 1.4 TFSI is not the COD 'Cylinders on Demand' engine the same as your 150 ps 1.4TSI ACT 'Active Cylinder Technology' , is it?

If your friend has the Passat with the 1.4TSI ACT Bluemotion that was one of the 9 Vehicles VW admitted had incorrect emissions from the 'Co2 Irregularities Investigation', i take it VW are paying the extra Taxes on it, and if it gets the good MPG on the road all is good.

Totally agree on the weight comment. Ive got a leon 1.4 150 like Wierdkerr and when I commute with three of my mates the mpg drops drasticly. Usually get 45+mpg on my commute stick my lift share lot in your looking low 30s.

Where's the catch then? That equates to about 20% of the car's value over 2 years. Surely it will depreciate by more than that? Is that a business lease or private? I genuinely can't tell how they're making anything other than a masssive loss!

Maybe the Lease Company is getting them for £23,000 from Audi.   (Audi want them on the road.)

The Lease Company are Leasing or Buying them on cheap borrowed money.

It is what VW have done for years, they are in the Money Lending with Borrowed Money and Pyramid Financing.

All smoke and Mirrors,  RRP Price, Dealer / Manufacturers Contribution, future valuations and all that guff.

If monthly gets you a nice car for work because that is what you need, HMRC lets VW supply that, and let people drive them,

sometimes even dirty diesels.

This time it is low C02 Petrols,  so as well to take advantage while it all lasts.

Yep, it is a private lease and including VAT.

If you really aren't bothered what you drive and just want the best deal available then with this one you really can't go wrong.

He only signed up yesterday so I'll get more info tomorrow at work.

If I were him, I'd sub-let it to someone else and get another one with the profit! :D

There are some really good VAG leases at the moment.

Audi TT - £2k + 23 x £125+vat

Golf 1.4tsi (ACC & nav) - £2k + 23 x £99+vat

+ the deal you've highlighted. Good times:)

It is amazingly well specced too. There are only three trim levels now on the A4, SE, Sport and S line.

This deal is for the Sport which is loaded with toys...

A friend of mine (also in York!) has just taken delivery of the same model A4 1.4 with a similar deal (less up front but more per month but overall equates to just over £200/month). The car is stunning and yes the engine tugs it along really well. As yet fuel economy a little low (38mpg) but it's only done a bit of city driving thus far. One thing to note it's worth adding hill hold control which is a cheap option(surely should be standard with an electric handbrake!) as without it setting off "takes a bit of getting used to".

In addition - if you are ordering a diesel the fuel tank is only 40 litres as standard - you can specify the larger 54litre version (standard on the petrol) as a free option. Another free option is a 24 litre ad blue tank (obviously only the diesel!).

Put the order in today. It's a factory order so roughly 8 weeks to wait.

Only two free colours, black or white so went for black.

No optional extras.

The more I think about it the more I realise how good a deal this is, £203 per month, including the deposit and fees.

£4,800 over two years, that's got to be less than it will depreciate. I can only assume Audi UK have given the brokers some pretty attractive discounts.

Is this a manual? I hope you've test driven...when I had one for a day the pedals appeared so offset to the right I felt as though I was sat awkwardly! That was with a DSG model too, the foot rest seems to get in the way with the manual box too.

Got to say I'm tempted by a 3lt (272) S Line Avant in Scuba Blue or Daytona Grey.

Trouble is, with the options I'd like and even with 15% discount through DtD, it's still a hair's breadth off £40K.

Our Allroad's PCP is up in a few months and I'm debating whether to continue with it for another year (car is 12K miles under target), chop it in for something like a 3lt diesel estate or something sporty(ish) - possibly a TTS.

Yes, manual.

It's not for me, a mate at work.

He hasn't driven one but did sit in one in the Audi showroom before ordering.
