Wheels went off to be refurbed today.

Took the chance to clean up calipers and repaint.

After seeing some recent posts I took the chance to clean the sills and inspect for any signs of rust, couple of bits need touching in from stone chips but nothing serious which was a relief. My sympathy with those who are dealing with much worse.

Confirmed I need pads and discs front and rear!

Refurbished wheels back today!

And fitted, very pleased with how they look.

New front pads and discs fitted today. Wheels cleaned and treated with Gtechniq C5 wheel armour!!

Rear pads and discs being replaced next week.

Love the wheels mate. Suit the car! You will love the C5 did mine the other week and after a week of driving the brake dust just washed off with the hose pipe!

I haven't let the wheels get that dirty yet!

They do seem to clean up easily and well since applying the wheel armour.

Running them through the winter etc will be the real test!

Finally, an update required, fog lamp grilles painted and projector headlamps fitted.

Bought spare headlamps, stripped them. Painted chrome surrounds black and ended up painting chrome reflectors as the chrome came off just cleaning them! Used Halfords chrome spray paint, was unsure to start with but I like the final look, I hope it stands up to the heat inside the lamp etc.

Fitted projectors with black surrounds, new hid kit, sidelights and main beam bulbs to try and match the light/colour output.

I am very pleased with how they look and they are really effective after driving in the dark this evening.

Finally the time had come to update/upgrade the car and after a short search I managed to pick this up fairly locally.

 

After a bit of a trawl driving to drop my mum off the car was filthy so gave it a quick clean this afternoon. Loving it so far, interior and glovebox changed to LEDs and some whispbars fitted to the top for biking.

 

Santa visited with some new floor mats and static stickers for the back window. Spent a tormenting hour test fitting some HIDs to the headlights today ready to order some replacement bulbs that will match alongside all other new bulbs.
