Front passenger door lock strip but no lock barrel?

Featured Replies

Okay I've done plenty of searches and know the process of removing the carrier etc and then we've read a description of removing the door lock barrel in order to see and mark the position of the bowden cable. Is the work the same way on the passenger side front though where there is no lock barrel? Or is it potentially going to be a lot easier with it just popping off and not having to do the double bolt half screwed half unscrewed combination that we know happens with the locking barrel?

It's exactly the same job for the other side. It has a blank plate instead of the barrel.

passenger door lock is on the way out, intermittently working so have ordered a replacement to get it done before it jams for good!

The drivers door lock microswitches are jiggered and someone is selling one from a broken car that didn't have any issues but with it being the drivers door lock is there some special sequence needed in order to not cause central locking problems?
