Possible electrical problem with Monte Carlo

Hi all. I've recently switched jobs and acquired the daily use of a van. I haven't driven my Monte Carlo properly for about 2 months. Small trips to the gym and that's about it. Today I thought I would take it out for a run and I developed a fault after stopping and parking up for a bit. When the lights are switched on fully the screen wash and right indicator symbols are permentally lit up. Thought it may of been a bulb issue but they are all working fine. Turned it off and on a few times but still the same. Noticed when you operate the fog lights it lights up the power steering symbol as well. Any ideas? I'm thinking its down to a possible electrical fault like flat battery??
