I would check the fuse next:

It uses fuse no. 34 as far know. On page 225 of my my16 Octavia manual.

i had checked it all is ok .

For my Elegance 2013, Page 266 of the manual, Fuse # 34, but it's shared with ASR, ESC, TMPS, back-up light, phone équipment and some air conditioning sensors, so, if it was the fuse, you'd see à lot of things going weird on board :-)

Could be the power button, a cable disconnected. Make a test : At night, turn on the engine and the main beam, turn on the mirror by pressing the on/off button, check if the green led light comes on, use à flashlight or your phone's led flashlight to illuminate the mirror's sensor. it should dim quickly. if not, it would be a dealer job.

If the light doesn't come on in the mirror take it in to the dealer. Simples. That is what warranties are for.

Car is a 2014. Does it not have a 3 year warranty?

  • Author

in Denmark is only 2 years .

A January 2014 car then?  Try it - if it's failed just days out of warranty, they may honour it..?
