Superb 11 Bonnet & tailgate badges

Featured Replies

Hello everyone anybody got any tips on replacing bonnet & tailgate badges on my superb 2011 to the redesigned ones from the facelift model.

Never done it but seen a few posts on here. Have a quick search :)

Hi,

I put the new badges on my 2009 about 6 months ago. I have the part number at home for the badges, so I'll get that for you later. Word of caution, the new badges for the Superb II are actually the ones from the Fabia/Yeti. The ones you need are 80mm in diameter, NOT 90mm. Also, if you buy the "Superb" badges, you'll end up with curved badges. Despite what others say, these will NOT fit. You'll need completely flat badges, so they can sit flush on the body work. PS: these are extremely easy to replace. The rear one, is a little more tricky, where you need to remove the badge and a plastic dome shaped mounting, which has 2/3 plastic plugs to help align it with the holes in the body work. I bought some black silicon sealant from Halfords to fill in those holes, before i replaced the new badges. I also bought these durable skoda sticker labels, that i used for the wheels, instead of buying the plastic wheel centers. Basically, you pry off the old wheel logos, clean the plastic wheel insert and glue on the new replacement logo stickers. They're still in perfect condition, so it's a cheaper way to do it, unless NOW there are available on ebay, which at the time, they weren't so.

i'll get the correct product number for you later for those badges. They cost me about €40 for both from my Skoda dealer.

For the third or fourth time my car is in for the memory seat controls and the dreaded "worm badges" front and rear plus the wheel badges.

So as I have a very good relationship with my dealer we struck a deal. They supply the new front, rear and wheel badges and I fit them.

What deal is that under the five year warranty. Well the new badges are not the green which is all I am entitled too under warranty but the up to date Citygo badges which have the correct part numbers. The f&r I will fit when it is a lot warmer and the wheel ones when I get my new alloys (third set under warranty) next March just before the warranty runs out.

Very happy with that as I could have ended up with some more crappy green badges.

Plus I got my very outside dirty car fully valeted.

Edit. Sorry did not mean to put this in here.☺️
