Whilst changing the oil today I decided to try and find the source of an annoying squeak when the engine starts and on gear changes.

 

Grabbed hold of the engine and gave it a good shove, sure enough I could replicate the squeak with each push.

 

It appears to be coming from down on the passenger side, somewhere below the battery.

 

Does anyone know where the engine mounts are, a picture would be great!

The gearbox mount is located under the battery tray and I replaced mine about 2 weeks ago as mine was worn.

Cheers mate, sounds like that is where the squeak is coming from. No thuds or difficulty changing gear so I'm hoping a squirt of WD40 might solve it fro me.

 

At least I know where to look now!
