Whats the bestseller in your country?

Featured Replies

Just saw some numbers about the carsale last year. And here in Norway over 70% of the new Octavias was 4x4, most popular engine was 150bhp diesel and 1.8TSI.

Whats the most popular octavia in your part of the world?

In Croatia Octavia was most sold model last year. Most of it was for the Police base model and companies lease. 1.6 TDI was most sold. You can't even get TSI engine for a test drive it's a rare breed over here.

Well...being a sad soul I just looked on the UK Autotrader site to get a sense of how many of each variant for Octavias <2 years old were available.  Drum roll please.....

390 1.6 TDI           (37%)

263 2.0 TDI           (25%)

206 2.0 TDI vRS    (20%)

106 1.4 TSI           (10%)

63 2.0 TSI vRS      (6%)

26 1.2 TSI              (2%)

Well diesel is more cheaper fuel in Croatia than petrol. Companies prefer diesel cars for long trips. TSI i more for short trips.

So am I the only person with a 1.8Tsi?

So am I the only person with a 1.8Tsi?

One of the few.  No < 2 year old 1.8TSIs for sale on Autotrader at the moment!   When I was buying if they'd offered it in Elegance trim I would have been tempted, but L&K trim was just too expensive (and too brown).

So am I the only person with a 1.8Tsi?

Yeah, that brown interior is a special taste not many can live with

I can't find any specifics, but I've read that the vRS TSI is the best seller in Australia. Followed closely by the 1.4 TSI models. 1.8 and diesel models are way behind.

We haven't got an l&k trim. The 1.8 was optional on the top Elegance trim along with the 2.0 TDI. I think the trim levels were shuffled for the 2016 model year.

It went,

Ambition 1.4TSI

Ambition Plus 1.4TSI

Elegance 1.4TSI, 1.8TSI, 2.0TDI

RS 2.0TSI, 2.0TDI

We don't get the 1.2 or 1.6 engines, also the vRS is just "RS" here, but the logo is the same.
