Hello again briskodian! I've read through for a while but I'm unsure on this..

Some Fabias have a boot release button down by the fuel cap release button by the drivers side? I don't have a boot release button is this model specific or anything? Is this something that could be retrofitted?

Its been asked a few times, so theres some information on here about it.

Basically the lesser models tend to have it but its mixed like all the options. yeah its easily fitted if you wanted it, you need...

- The plastic with two cut outs (or cut your old one)

- A bracket under the plastic which holts the two cables (fuel flap and boot lock)

- The cable that runs from the boot to the handle

I fitted it to mine last year, its really just a matter of stripping the cable out of a lesser spec vehicle, getting the correct metalwork (or modding the one you have from the lesser model, requires one hole to be made a bit bigger), from there you run the wire through where Skoda nicely left all the trunking and clips for the extra cable, route it through to the boot release catch and you'll see a nice section where the cylindrical 'weight' on the cable fits into the boot, once done, set the tension on the cable and job's a good'en!

I'll get round to it one day.. im busy playing with headlights and heated seats to worry about my boot release for now! i dont mind just holding the button for a few seconds and it unlocking anyway
