Grill Surround Painted

Featured Replies

Got inspired by some of the pictures of Octavias on the Forum with the grill surround painted.  I did consider a sport grill from Superskoda, but wanted to keep the overall appearance original and found a new chrome surround and insert on Fleabay for reasonable money.

The surround was painted by Gary at Cosmetic Autocare in Northampton for what I consider to be a reasonable price.  He also assembled the grill and fitted it, leaving me to fit new badges, both OEM and supplied by Progress Skoda in Northampton.

Although the painted grills I've seen all looked good, I hadn't seen one done in Candy White and wasn't too sure how it would come out, but I'm well pleased with it now it's done.

I would have shown photos of the whole car, had it not chucked it down as soon as I had finished washing it, but I'm sure you will get the idea.

First one i've seen in Candy white to be honest. Hmmm.... not sure.... it might be a grower.... ;)

Glad you are happy with the work and price paid.

I most definitely like the new badges though

It's different is what I will say!

I keep thinking about getting my Fabia vRS grill done but not sure on Wether to go the normal black that they all have are colour code...

I didn't want black - almost everyone seems to go down that route.  I did consider trying to colour match my wheels, but ended up colour coding to match the car.

I don't think the photos do it justice - when I get the chance to wash it again, I will try to get some better ones.  Just need it to stop raining for long enough!!
