Service Parts - 2 different versions?

Featured Replies

Hey all

Doing some comparisons on ECP, CPFL and GSF as I'm looking to get in all service parts prior to it being done in a few months. Trouble is, there seems to be 2 versions of both oil & fuel filter and it's rather confusing.

For example, Car Parts For Less list different versions under 'MANN' and I haven't a clue which to order. The other sites present the same issue.

Car is a 170 CR so not sure if anyone else has been in my situation or has an answer.

Could someone please be so kind as to point me in the right direction of which parts I need as there are some good offers on and I don't want to miss out.

Cheers.

for fuel filter, look at filter housing for type required.

There were 2 different types fitted Mann or UFI. It would be marked on the filter housing. The filters are different.

For oil filters and oil,.i use cardiff audi on ebay, http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/cardiffaudi?_trksid=p2053788.m1543.l2754

They usually have deals on the quantum 5w30 oil and oil filters, plus sump plug.

Air filter and pollen filter I pick up from ECP or carparts4less - i usually stick with branded filters

I get serviced twice a year, and supplying the items saves me a packet.

Ok will check the housing for this UFI thing. What about the oil filter though?

Ok just gone over the site(s) and realised it has 2 options, UFI restriction/Mann-Hummel restriction so feel happy I can narrow that down by checking (when bloody rain stops mind).

That still leaves the oil filter. Come on peeps, surely someone with my motor knows this :)

Check out the Skoda Car Parts link at the top of the page...... send Mike your reg number & what you require. I paid £68.62 for 5lrs  of 5W-30, oil & fuel filter, sump plug & free delivery !!   On the plus side you don't get the wrong part.
