Rear armrest

Since buying my VRS the rear armrest lid has always had a broken catch, It doesn't effect it whilst in the up position but makes it hard to drop the armrest as the lid catches.

I've enquired with TPS and there is no repair kit and a full armrest is required at over £200.

Would something like a MK5 Golf or Audi have the same armrest in cloth I could perhaps get from a scrap yard and repair mine?
