Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but my 2013 (62) plate has just turned 3 year old. I bought it brand new and has done 29,800 miles. Sadly I have decided to sell it but am finding it hard to get an idea of what its worth as most ads on Autotrader are for dealer sales. 

 

Its a metallic black estate in manual, Michelin pilot sport 3 all round, professionally tinted windows, revo remap, and the bluetooth hands free. Its just had its 3 year dealer service with brake fluid change and was MOT'd at the same time. Its in great condition and regularly polished. 

 

Has anybody recently sold theirs to give me a rough idea?

Traded in my Blackline, 3 years old, FSH, 14,000 miles got £11,500 for a new MkIII VRS.  Google Ford CAP for free valuation.  Private sale somewhere between trade in and dealer price?

 

Not sure if your tinted windows and remap may put people off.

Thanks for your reply. I understand that the remap would put some people off but I remap any diesel car I have had, It obviously improves the performance but it makes the day to day driving so much better.  I highly recommend it to anyone with a standard car. 

 

Ive had a look on the Ford Gap valuation site, thanks for the recommendation. The cheapest Blackline with the same mileage is £13k so Im thinking of advertising it at £11995 and see how it goes.

Where are you located by the way?

I've tried Pistonheads before and seemed to get alot of timewasters phoning and offering stupid prices but that might be due to the type of car I suppose. I think I'll try Autotrader and see how that goes,

I've been thinking about my next car too, my Blackline only has 10k on clock so maybe now is a good time to sell before values plummet? 11-12k now so how much in 12 months time? 8-9k? just a thought..
