Not that felis has been bent over- just think with an x6 in his driveway he has a bit more cash floating around than I do!

I use the Thule roofbars and fitting pack from my 2006 Octavia - fits perfectly on the Superb

Yes, lovely new wing bars would be nice but saved a few hundred pounds to go towards my winter tyres

here is a set of wingbars secured with foot pack 757 from my old superb mark II combi

looks ok. not a great fit on the inner side of the bar, but quite snug on the outside.

I does seem to lock into place well enough, so result.

@tmg are you happy with how the 757 fits on the Superb Mk III?

I have foot pack 757 from my old car, and Aerobars that are 119cm long. I am hoping to reuse. Not sure I like the look of the fit of the 775 foot pack which is what all sites recommend for the Superb Mk III.

Wanted to know your experience of reusing 757 foot pack, as I prefer a clamp system to the band system on the 775's. Just want to be confident before doing 70mph on the motorway with roofbox or two bikes on the roof.

hey

so I have been across france with a 650l box on those bars at motorway speeds for most of it (about a 2.5k km round trip) and all was well

Thanks tmg, thats a great help. I will be using my existing bars and feet. Saves me some money :D

I'm taking out of grave this topic with a question: I have a superb III, estate version with rood racks and bike carriers on it - 3 more precisely. I've made a trip with it few days ago, with three bikes on it and the system start to make a sound like something is moving around. Initially I was think that the problem is from roof rack or from bike carrier but I found out that the roof rails - the one that fixed on the car - are moving a little bit. It can be moved also by hand if you apply necessarily force - and that is not to big.

Question is - do other owners of estate have the same problem? If yes how it was fixed? (I'll go anyway to the dealer but I want to be informed)

Hi,

I've not had this issue with my car, I have only ever transported ladders on my roof bars.

I think I have read about a recall for this issue though, perhaps give your local Skoda dealer a call?

Do you have more details about recall?

Dealer needs to work from inside the car in order to adjust to roof rails or is just outside of it? I'm thinking that if he works from inside the car it will need to touch fabric from inside car and I don't want that.

Hoicking this thread from the grave, is anyone aware of roofbars for a Superb Mk III Estate which will stow under the variable boot floor?

An Octavia can do it (below), so the same should be possible for a Superb III.

Cheers

Ferdinand
