anybody added mods with Privilege Insurance?

Featured Replies

I'm getting a Mk1 Octavis vRS this week. I've transferred the insurance from the old car to the new one and paid the extra (My existing 2.0 Focus was a bargain to insure).

It's (AFAIK...) a standard car and quick, but wondered what the likely % increase in premium would be for a ~10-15% increase in horsepower from a simple re-map? 200bhp would be a nice round number, although '225' has a nice ring to it

-coincidentally, my mate's much more expen(i)sive Audi T(ar)T has that too :)

Cheers.

I was with Privilege until I started adding bits, they charge through the nose for ANY mods and wanted an extra £400 for 9 months left for a remap by Jabba! when I asked them. My advice hold on the remap until your renewal is due then phone someone like Chris Knott insurance, they beat everyone hands down for me!

Thanks for that. What were you paying before the changes?

On a similar note I'm insured with 'More Than' and have just bought a Furby VRS.

For the remaining 4 months they want and extra .....
