Remap question

Featured Replies

Is anyone insured with LV with a remapped car? DId a quote on GoCompare and there website to give a rough idea to how much extra I might be looking to pay and on LV's site they don't want to know and on GoCompare only 1 insurer was interested (Adrian Flux) I haven't had the car mapped yet, but does this mean I can't get it done because LV won't cover it?

Is anyone currently insured by LV with a mapped car? I also realise the questions been asked before back in 2004 in the Roadside Hotel and it looked like they do cover it, but only if you've already been with them, basically help :D

The only way to get the correct answer for sure is to call and just ask the question tbh. If it's a no, nothing to stop you simply cancelling your policy and moving to another insurer if you are really set on it, if not just plan it around renewal time.

Yeah that's also a plan of mine when I have the time, but just wanted to see if anyone has also found themselves in the same boat, I'm hoping I can sweet talk them on the phone[emoji14]

Why not just insure using Brokers and Insurance Underwriters that understand and deal with Modified Vehicles,

and Declarations on Remaps etc.

LV do not even insure some that reside at Liverpool Postcodes.

What you want is Cover & Customer Services that mean you have no issues, problems or excuses if you need to claim.

No one can answer except them, it will most likely be a different answer depending on your individual situation.

For a "complex question" like that, you need to phone them, not just use the interwebnet.

Very happy to give you a quote for comparison. We have access to insurers who like mods - one of which is a company owned by LV=.

Thanks for your input folks, looks like I'll be canceling my insurance with LV in the next few weeks at a cost of £40 as I'm quote "below the minimum age threshold"
