GPR front wings

Featured Replies

I have a feeling I once saw a German company doing some GPR wings on ebay a while ago but cant for the life of me remember how I stumbled across them. Does anybody recall such a  company or am I imagining things?

My main reason for searching is that what better method of rustproofing is there than using a material that cannot rust, having seen some very scabby mk4 golfs recently I suspect they might be a weak point.

Cheers!

Original wings fitted and painted in the factory should be pretty resilient to rusting, however make sure you periodically, say annually, remove the wheel arch linings and wash the mud and muck that will collect behind the lip that the arch liner can stop collecting there. If you've never done this, there is a thread somewhere in this Octy 1 topic showing what can lurk behind. I found this on mine when I bought out last year!

Not a spec of rust on my 2001 wings.  As mentioned though once every year or 2 I remove the arch liners all round and clean the arch lip and inside.  Must be the neglected ones which rot..
