Fault on Throttle position sensor

Featured Replies

Hi,

The check engine light came up on mySuperb the other day.

Connected the VCDS and discovered that there was a fault on the Throttle position sensor.

I was able to to clear the fault, and the check engine light disappeared for a few days. Until one morning when it was really cold, then it came back. This has happened a few times. Every time it was very cold.

The same fault code every time.

Called the shop and told them what problems I have and the fault code.

He just answered dry that I just had to book an appointment to diagnose. Not interested in listening to what I had to say.

I don't feel like paying them for a hour diagnose just so that they can print out the same information as I already have.

Have not noticed any difference in throttle feedback and no trouble when car is in idle. Have not noticed any difference except that the check engine light is on.

I'm away on business now, back on Wednesday, so don't have the information with me.

Have searched online if I could find a new throttle position sensor, but finding parts to a Superb is not as easy as it was on my old BMW 525.  :p (I know that because i had to order A LOT of parts!)

Could anyone point me to one? :D

Have a Superb 2.0 TDI 2011
