012 - Electrical Fault in Circuit

Anyone had this fault? Have been using canbus "friendly" leds and noticed I had a flicker on the left side, intermittent bulb warning on the dash. Changed them today and now a permanent fault with no light left side and constant bulb warning . have checked continuity on the headlamp unit multiplug to bulb holder and it's fine. I'm guessing either stretched / broken wire from removing light or popped bcm. Have tried standard bulbs, same result. Fault cleared and returning

I'm sure I've read that the BCM can get a little confused and by disconnecting the battery it resets and all is fine...

Just changed both lamps for standard ones and now it works! I'm guessing they need to be matched or something? How odd
