As in pre PD engine?

Just took it off a VRS I'm working on that's all, exhaust wheel is damaged but that's it.

Well, it's a device that uses the energy of the exhaust gases to compress the intake air and increase engine volumetric efficiency, but that's not important right now.

Thanks Mr Airplane!  :P

If that turbo was on a fabia vRS - it's a little underspecced for the job :D  In essence its kind of a PD100 turbo

Yep, was on a vrs indeed! Running 180bhp for a while as well, not sure if it's a hybrid or not then...

Oh well... It's knackerd anyway! :D

Why? Honeywell own Garrett and have been building turbo systems for aero engines for a very long time indeed.

Obviously because I didn't know that, I seem to recall it being mentioned before but if you would of asked me I would have had no idea.

Thanks for the replies, will stick it on the shelf with all the other failed KKK units.

Thought it might have been a PD150 unit. It's not very old, can't really tell from the picture but the manifold is still nice and clean, hasn't done many miles.

So if it's a PD100 Turbo then no suprise it's failed so soon! Suprised to see the exhaust wheel is slightly chipped at the very inside.

Other than that, it's Perfect.
