I recently bought a octavia but I can't get the cd player to work is there something I am doing wrong

Just a bit short of information really to make any suggestions. Does the unit turn on at all? Does it turn on and boot up with the Skoda logo and nothing else? Does it turn on and play the radio and/or SD card, but refuse to play any cds?

In that case I'm unable to help any further really,

Rusty nuts thanks for the reply the radio works but I have now taken the car to a garage and they said I need a new header which is being replaced on warranty
