Please help me fix this car

Featured Replies

I've posted a bit about my Fabia (2003 petrol 1.4). It's still broken despite:

-new coil pack

-new map sensor

-new brake sensor

Garage now think it's a broken wire somewhere but I honestly have no idea what to even change next! You can drive away in it and it'll be perfect for ten or so minutes (any speed!) and then it'll kinda lurch and the engine warning lights will come on.

It's meant to be going up for sale but I can't sell it the way it is, and it's too nice to send for scrap! Any ideas?

Thank you!

No idea unless you start posting the error codes that are putting the engine warning light on.

Oh and if it actually is a wire, you want a good auto electrician, not a general "vehicle technician".

Get any codes read. And make a note of them

If you have a smartphone, you can buy something called an ELM327 off eBay and pair it with a smartphone.

If you have an Android running smartphone, you can buy something called an ELM327 off eBay and pair it with a smartphone.

Fixed! On iOS aren't that many apps and the available ones don't work as they should be. Torque is pretty much the best you can get..on a droid.
