Not sure if it's the radiator or the temp switch? Thinking maybe the rad as there's a cystalising forming there...

Tighten the thermoswitch a little and see whether you stop losing coolant. Well worth trying before condemning the rad. Both our Fabia and Polo have been fixed this way.

Were you getting crystaling on the rad too? Or just the wet mark around the switch?

It looked wet/crystallised all around the area, including above the switch.  Was pleasantly surprised that it worked, both times.  I think the airflow 'whips' the leaking drops in all directions.
