Amundsen has self-reset radio settings - why?

Featured Replies

Came to listen to the radio this afternoon, and all the presets have been reset and station logos have been deleted; both in FM and DAB. I found it odd because there were still presets saved (as opposed to a factory-reset or data loss for example, where they'd be blank) they were just all the wrong ones.

Has this happened to anyone? Anyone know why it would do this?

Happened to me too. No reason known to me either. When car was serviced I asked the dealer to check. Nothing reported from them

+ 1 happened last year around the time of the first frost - thread then seemed to suggest it was sopmething to do with the cold and damp weather. only happened once though just had to reprogram the presets

Has happened to my bolero twice (don't have DAB) but radio on and setting off from parked (not cold out) infotainment says on screen something about auto tuning stations (haven't seen it in a while) and then all logos gone and stations reordered but all there and working fine, no reboots etc. Never found a reason. I suspected it might be that it finds a new frequency or something silly like that and so does a retune

Car has key memory....are you using the 2nd key occasionally?

Could be as there are different/new radio stations now listed that weren't there before. PITA though, why not just inform me that there's new one, delete any presets that are no longer available and leave all the others as they are.

No I just use the one key at a time, they only get swapped when the current one's battery fails and that hasn't been for a long while yet.

Exactly, it would make more sense to tell me there are new ones and let me accept a full re-tune or just add the new ones to the end, or dismiss entirely.

Now I cannot upload the radio station logos :swear: ! I'm trying from a USB drive (which I did last time, same drive, files haven't moved) but the USB option is unselectable!  :wall:
