Had the red oil light flash up 3 weeks ago. The car hasnt moved since as ive been waiting to get it into a garage. I need to drive it 8 miles to the garage next week.

Question is should it be ok to drive or should i just get it recovered. The light flashed up and beeped a few times but went straight off. Just a bit weary about driving it with low pressure.

Have you checked the oil level? if the level is OK then you'll probably find it's the pickup pipe that is blocked and not wise to drive until it's either cleaned or replaced

Yeah the oil level is fine. I was thinkin of just limping it a mile down the road and calling the aa as i dont have home start.

Don't eat yellow snow!

 

More pertinently, if the oil level is ok, I'd suggest upgrading AA to include Home Start, and calling them a few days later.
